I sometimes have people who are interested in ordering nutrisystem items individually off of the a la carte menu but they are concerned that they are only being offered a limited amount of items or don’t have access to the entire menu.  I’ve had people ask me if  nutrisystem saves or limits their best selling or most popular items for their packages only.  (For the most part they don’t, but there are some exceptions which I’ll explain below.)

For example, I had someone check out the favorites menu for the basic women’s plan.  On the breakfast menu, she really wanted to try the pancakes, the cinnamon roll, the blueberry muffin, and some of the cereals.  On the lunch menu, she was interested in the cheese tortellini, the chicken salad,  and the chicken Alfredo. For dinner, she was interested in the ravioli, the pizza, and the vegetable fajitas.  In terms of desserts and snacks, she was interested in the chocolate cake, the peanut butter cookie, and the zesty herb snack mix.

As of this writing, every item she was interested in the breakfast menu was available a la carte (for around .00 each.) The same was true of the lunch items on her wish list (at around .00 each.)  All of the dinner items are there at around – each, and the snacks were available and around .

For the most part, most of the items that are included in the basic nutrisystem packages are also available on the a la carte menu.  The only exception to this is that the select or frozen items aren’t sold individually because they have to be shipped frozen by Schwanns.

However, depending on how many individual items you are going to order, sometimes you will pay more when you order a la carte, especially when there is a good deal (like the nutrisystem 1/2 off sale.)  I understand wanting to order a small quantity or trying the foods, but in that case you would probably get by cheaper with the nutrisystem flex plan using coupons.

People often write me and tell me that they can’t figure out how to get to the a la carte order form on the nutrisystem website.  It can be a little tricky.

Here it is step by step.  You can get to the official nutrisystem site from the coupons on this nutrisystem review site.  From the home page,  select the women or men’s icon (depending on which is applicable).  Look for the “basic” package button on the right side of the site and click order now.  The next page will ask you to select your package.  Instead, scroll all the way down to the bottom left side where you’ll see “a la carte.”  Click that button and you’ll be taken to the individual items which are broken down into breakfast, dinner, lunch, and snacks, desserts.  All items have their price listed right in the item description.
