An Overview of the Nutrisystem Diet Plan

I get a lot of emails asking about the specifics of Nutrisystem. People want to know how it works, if it works, whether the food tastes good or not, how hungry you will be on it, how quickly the weight comes off, and if the diet is worth the money. In the following article, I’ll offer an overview of the Nutrisystem diet plan in an attempt to answer these questions.

How (And If) Nutrisystem Works: There are several things which I think make this diet work. They are: convenience, variety, education, and hunger control. What I mean by this is that there is not a lot of work for you to do on this diet. You don’t have to count calories or figure anything out. Basically, you eat the foods that they send you and you add in a healthy side item like a piece of fruit or a carton of yogurt with each meal.

The food on this diet is also pretty good.

Typical Nutrisystem Foods And Meals

I recently had someone ask me what a typical day on Nutrisystem was like. She wanted to know what types of food she would be eating and how these tasted. I think she was sort of envisioning card board type cereal for breakfast and salads or a veggie tray for dinner or lunch. This really isn’t the reality, in my observation.

Although the portion of your typical Nutrisystem meal may be a bit smaller than what you would eat if you aren’t on a diet, the choices aren’t the type of food that you may associate with dieting. In the following article, I’ll take a look at the food options on this diet in the hopes that these examples will give you an idea of what the “typical Nutrisystem meal” would encompass.

Nutrisystem Breakfast Examples: There are both hot and cold options here. Let’s start with the cold. There are all different types of cold cereals as well as muffins, scones, and bars.

How Does Nutrisystem Ship?

I recently heard from someone who was interested in ordering nutrisystem but she wanted to know how her order was going to be shipped.  She wanted to know what carrier would be used, if she could track her order, and how long it should take.  I’ll address these concerns in the following article.

How Nutrisystem Basic Ships:  How your order ships really does depend upon which package you order.  If you order a basic package (regular, diabetic, or vegetarian,) the meals are ready to eat and they don’t require a freezer.  They come in boxes and for the most part lay flat.

These types of meals ship via UPS, Fed Ex, and the United States Postal Service (USPS) depending upon where you live.  It differs for different parts of the country.
